Day 6 — Siena or Chianti

Siena by bus for the Duomo and Piazza del Campo, or a sober-driver Chianti loop (Greve, Panzano) if someone avoids the ZTL entirely. Bologna same-day is possible by Frecciarossa but eats a food day — overnight Bologna is kinder and trims one Florence morning instead. San Gimignano stacks only if you accept a long day.

Day 7 — Soft finale
