5-day Krabi itinerary with guided tours
A guided Ao Nang stack with Railay, the Emerald Pool land circuit, Four Islands or Hong, and a cooking-class finale.
A guided five-day Krabi itinerary has room for both the signature boat day and the inland Emerald Pool/Tiger Cave circuit, while keeping a recovery day free. Base in Ao Nang, check pickup coverage before booking, and leave one boat date movable if your travel dates fall in wetter months. Live options below search current Krabi inventory; for a self-paced version with direct longtails and a private driver, use the 5-day Krabi self-drive itinerary.

Book boats first, then fill the softer days
Prioritise a Four Islands or Hong boat, then the land circuit, then cooking or spa time. Read inclusions closely: national-park fees, lunch, snorkel gear, and transfers are not universal. Ask whether Tubkaek, Klong Muang or Krabi Town pickups add a surcharge; Ao Nang is usually easiest.
- Day 1 — Arrive and settle in around Ao Nang
- Day 2 — Railay and Phra Nang with a small group or local boat
- Day 3 — Emerald Pool, Hot Springs and Tiger Cave package
- Day 4 — Four Islands OR Hong Island package
- Day 5 — Cooking class, spa or a weather-flex boat day
Day 1 — Soft arrival and operator check-in
Keep the first day for your hotel, Ao Nang beach and an unhurried sunset. Confirm pickup time, dietary requirements, seasickness needs and what the operator considers an included fee. A quick Noppharat Thara walk is enough activity before two fuller days.
Day 2 — Railay without the transfer guessing
Railay is simple independently, but a small group or hotel-arranged boat is useful if you want a clean pickup and a guaranteed return. Spend time on West Railay and Phra Nang rather than turning this into a rushed multi-island route; the limestone beach day is a highlight in its own right.

Day 3 — Emerald Pool, Hot Springs and Tiger Cave
A guided van is the relaxed way to join Krabi’s inland sights. Start early for Emerald Pool, use Hot Springs as the middle-of-day reset, and decide at Tiger Cave whether the stairs suit everyone. Blue Pool access is variable, so regard it as an operator-confirmed extra. Bring temple-appropriate clothing, shoes for wet paths and more water than you think you need.

Day 4 — Four Islands or Hong Island
Choose Four Islands for Poda, Chicken Island and a tide-sensitive Tup sandbar; choose Hong for the lagoon, viewpoint and a less stop-heavy day. Both are good packages because crew, transfers and park procedures move together. Follow weather advice over a fixed preference, particularly outside the dry season.

Day 5 — Cook, recover or use the weather buffer
A Thai cooking class provides a useful, dry-land finale, while a spa or Tubkaek sunset is even lighter. If a boat day moved, use this slot instead. Do not add Phi Phi simply because a fifth day exists: it deserves an early full day and works better in a week-long plan.

Continue planning
Packages pay off when you want transfers and changing marine logistics handled; independent longtails pay off for a slower Railay day. See the Krabi destination guide, compare the DIY day trips, or extend to the 7-day Krabi guided itinerary for Phi Phi and mangrove kayaking.
