7-day Phuket itinerary with guided tours

A full week of Phuket packages: Big Buddha and Old Town, Phi Phi, Phang Nga Bay, Coral Island and Racha Yai, and a cooking-class finale.

7-day Phuket itinerary with guided tours

Seven days of Phuket packages covers both of the island’s big boat days plus a full land circuit — Big Buddha and Old Town, a free beach day, Phi Phi, Phang Nga Bay, a Coral Island or Racha Yai flex day, and a soft cooking-class or spa finale — without you arranging drivers, boat tickets, or national park permits yourself. It matches the arc of our 7-day Phuket self-drive itinerary with hosted pickup and pre-booked tickets throughout. Live Viator cards show current Phuket inventory — open a few, compare inclusions, and book the scarce ones first.

Weekly booking priority

Reserve Phi Phi and Phang Nga Bay first — both have genuinely limited daily capacity and sell out days ahead in December–February and around Chinese New Year. Add the Big Buddha and Old Town land tour next, then a Coral Island or Racha Yai package, and a cooking class or spa slot for the finale. Leave one day unbooked around your two big boat days — both are full, early starts, and stacking a third excursion either side tends to backfire.

  • Phi Phi and Phang Nga Bay packages → Big Buddha and Old Town tour → Coral Island or Racha Yai → cooking class or spa
  • Confirm pickup covers your exact hotel or soi — narrow lanes sometimes need a main-road meeting point
  • Free-cancellation options help around wet-season weeks (June–October) when swell can shuffle boat plans
  • Do not book two full-day boat excursions on consecutive days — separate them with a free beach afternoon

The itinerary at a glance

  • Day 1 — Arrive; soft landing on the beach
  • Day 2 — Guided Big Buddha, Old Town, and Wat Chalong package
  • Day 3 — Free beach day; Promthep Cape sunset
  • Day 4 — Phi Phi Islands speedboat package
  • Day 5 — Phang Nga Bay and James Bond Island package
  • Day 6 — Coral Island and Racha Yai snorkel package OR free recovery day
  • Day 7 — Cooking class or spa finale before departure

Day 1 — Arrive and settle on the coast

Soft landing: check into Kata or Karon, walk the beach, and confirm tomorrow’s pickup time before you sleep. Skip booking anything for arrival day — jet lag and a full week of packages ahead do not need company on day one.

Day 2 — Big Buddha, Old Town, and Wat Chalong package

A guided land-day package bundles Big Buddha’s hilltop views, Wat Chalong’s temple grounds, and free time in Phuket Old Town’s Sino-Portuguese lanes, with a guide who explains temple etiquette and dress-code rules at each stop.

Day 3 — Free beach day and Promthep Cape sunset

Keep day 3 unbooked. Spend the morning on Kata or Karon beach, then a Grab ride south to Promthep Cape for sunset — arrive at least 45 minutes early since this free viewpoint gets genuinely crowded on clear evenings. This is your built-in breathing room before back-to-back boat days.

Day 4 — Phi Phi Islands speedboat package

A full-day guided speedboat circuit through Maya Bay’s viewing platform, Pileh Lagoon, and Monkey Beach, with lunch on Phi Phi Don and a guide managing the queue at each capped-capacity stop. Pickup is typically 7–8am from your hotel.

Live Phi Phi Islands tours

Day 5 — Phang Nga Bay and James Bond Island package

The drive to the boat launch, guided sea-canoeing through hidden lagoons inside the limestone karsts, and James Bond Island are bundled with lunch, usually at the stilted village of Koh Panyi. A calmer, more scenery-led day after yesterday’s longer speedboat run.

Live Phang Nga Bay and James Bond Island tours

Live experience cards load in the article for: phang nga, james bond, khao phing kan.

Day 6 — Coral Island and Racha Yai package or a free recovery day

If days 4 and 5 left energy in reserve, a guided half-day or full-day package to Coral Island and Racha Yai adds calmer snorkelling with transfers and gear handled for you. If the week’s two big boat days wiped you out, keep day 6 free instead — a slow morning on the beach is a legitimate way to spend a recovery day on a full week.

Live Coral Island and Racha Yai tours

Day 7 — Cooking class or spa finale

Close the week gently with a guided Thai cooking class or a spa slot near your base. Time your transfer to Phuket International Airport with a buffer — traffic near the airport and Sarasin Bridge builds through the afternoon, and you do not want a relaxed finale undone by a rushed departure.

Live Phuket cooking classes

Where to stay for this itinerary

Kata or Karon keep every package pickup within an easy radius for the full week. Confirm your hotel is inside each operator’s pickup zone — read the Phuket destination guide for area trade-offs.

Tickets, seasons, and timing

Phi Phi and Phang Nga Bay capacity is genuinely limited — book both well ahead of December–February and Chinese New Year. Wet-season months (roughly June–October) occasionally cancel or delay boat crossings and pause Similan trips entirely; build a flexible day if an island excursion is a must-do. Shoulder months around the dry-season edges usually mean shorter queues and better hotel rates — see shoulder-season travel wins.

Guided vs independent

A full guided week is efficient and removes Phi Phi’s queue management, Phang Nga’s canoe logistics, and national park permit guesswork entirely. Mix with independent Grab-and-driver days when you want to linger longer at one stop — see the Phuket destination guide. Independent week structure: 7-day Phuket self-drive itinerary.
